Dawn Wall

The story behind the Dawn Wall has proven to be a great inspiration for us in pursuing our dream to open JRH Brewing.  The Dawn Wall is a 3000 ft climbing route up the face of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park, CA.   In 2015, Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson were the first free climbers to take on the daunting task of ascending the Dawn Wall, which is considered one of the most difficult climbs in the world.  It took years of planning and practice, but on January 14, 2015 after 19 days on the wall they completed their climbing mission and made rock climbing history.  In many press releases after their accomplishment, they stated, “We hope the global attention that the climb has received will inspire others to find their own Dawn Wall.”

SO what does this have to do with craft beer?  Well, we have named the large red wall that bares our logo in the brew house the JRH Brewing Dawn Wall.  As we aspire to conquer our dream of making JRH Brewing a successful craft brewery and family friendly neighborhood hang out, we hope to inspire others to follow their own dreams and celebrate their accomplishments no matter how big or small.  We challenge you to find your own Dawn Wall and bring us a photo or story of your accomplishment and we will post it with pride on ours!
